LITERATO (Kendor and La Cibeles by Cardoun) returns to his homeland, in the footprints of the famous Kendor. Unbeaten at 2 (five starts), impressive at three with four group victories (also twice second, out of six races), he particularly shone in the Champion Stakes 2007 (Gr.1) beating with panache Eagle Mountain ((Hong Kong Cup 2008 - Gr.1, 2nd Derby d'Epsom - Gr.1, 2nd Breeders' Cup Turf 2008 - Gr.1), Creachadoir (Lockinge Stakes - Gr.1), Doctor Dino (Hong Kong Vase - Gr.1)...

ASTRONOMER ROYAL (Danzig and Sheepscot by Easy Goer)
By legendary Danzig and a daughter of Sunday Silence's greatest rival, Easy Goer, the very elegant Astronomer Royal is the winner of the Poule d'Essai des Poulains 2007. On Kendor's footsteps, who also triumphed in the french guineas!
2010 fee : 6 000 euros.

 

By Danehill and Dievotchka (Dancing Brave), ARCHANGE D'OR will stand for a fourth breeding season at Haras de la Reboursière & Montaigu (2010 fee : 4 000 euros). His most impressive performance was his victory in the Prix Eugène Adam 2005 (Gr.2) in front of group I winner Laverock.
Archange d'Or is the half-brother to the excellent performers Russian Hope, Russian Desert and Russian Cross, Prix Guillaume d'Ornano 2008 (Gr.2)'s winner at Deauville before a fourth place in the Champion Stakes (Gr.1 - New Approach).

 

By Linamix and Coraline (Sadler's Wells), dual group winner MARTALINE stands at our stud since 2005. Pictures of two of his first foals.
Fee : 4 000 euros.
His own brother Reefscape returns in 2005 as a superb second to champion Bago in Prix Ganay (Gr.1) at Longchamp, before to catch up with Warrsan to be placed third in the Coronation Cup (Gr.1 - Epsom). At Deauville, Reefscape races twice for the gain of two second places in the Prix de Reux (L.) and in the Prix Kergorlay (Gr.2). For his come back at Longchamp, among the stayers, Reefscape dominates the Prix Gladiateur (Gr.3), then the Prix du Cadran (Gr.1).
In 2006, Reefscape is the remarkable second of the Ascot Gold Cup (Gr.1).
Marvellous Coraline! After Martaline, Clear Thinking and Reefscape, she has given birth to Coastal Path (Halling), particularly impressive in the Prix de Lutèce (Gr.3) and in the Prix Chaudenay (Gr.2) at Longchamp in 2007.
Best french 3 yo stayer, Coastal Path takes the leadership, also over older horses, winning the Prix de Barbeville (Gr.3) and the Prix Vicomtesse Vigier (Gr.2), staying unbeaten after six races. In june, in an historical Ascot Gold Cup (Gr.1) won by Yeats for the third time consecutively, Coastal Path finishes third, definitely proving his class.

A very promising start at stud! The first MARTALINE are 4yo's in 2010. Three of his jumpers are already black typed, Nikoline (Prix Bournosienne - Gr.3, 3rd Prix Jacques d'Indy - Gr.3, de Pépinvast - Gr.3), Toubab and Si Tu Viens. On the flat, Broken Kitten stands as a listed-race winner and Ayun Tara as a second of the Prix des Réservoirs (Gr.3) at 2 and U.A.E. 1000 Guineas Stakes (L.) at 3.

 

TURTLE BOWL (Dyhim Diamond and Clara Bow by Top Ville) arrived at our stud in 2008.
2010 fee : 5 000 euros.
Half brother to brilliant Turtle Bow, to the talented steeple-chaser Super Bowl and to Age of Aquarius, the highest priced yearling at the Deauville Select Sales in 2007 and second of the Grand Prix de Paris 2009, Turtle Bowl, one of the main contenders to Ramonti in 2007, will also remain as the superb winner of the Prix Jean Prat 2005 (Gr.1).

Historical stallions

KENDOR is honored in the first european group of 2006, the Prix Exbury (Gr.3), with Kendor Dine, winner in brilliant style. On the first of may, Kendor Dine is a spectacular and brave second of the Prix du Muguet (Gr.2).
Rising star among the flyers, Latona shines in the Prix de Saint-Georges (Gr.3).
At 4, Ysoldina is one of the top french mares : she proves it being third of the Prix Corrida (Gr.2) and Allez France (Gr.3).
Born and bred at Haras de La Reboursière & Montaigu for Mrs Geffroy, Corre Caminos becomes Gr.1 winner, easily dominating the Prix Ganay (Gr.1), at Longchamp. Sold yearling at Deauville, he stands as a son of Montjeu and Dibenoise, a dam by Kendor. Picture : foal, half-brother to Corre Caminos by Numerous.
Brilliant winner of the Critérium de Lyon (L.) and the Critérium du Languedoc (L.), Literato is unbeaten after his first five races.

2007 - Literato deeply seduces, winning the Prix La Force (Gr.3) at Longchamp and being second to Lawman in the Prix du Jockey Club (Gr.1), a few days before Kendor's death.
Deauville, Prix Guillaume d'Ornano (Gr.2) : Literato confirms his excellence by catching up with the 2006 french top 2 yo, Spirit One.
Longchamp, Prix du Prince d'Orange (Gr.3) : Literato keeps winning in view of an attempt in the Champion Stakes (Gr.1).

Winter Fashion also proves an high potential, being second of the Prix Imprudence (L.), then impressively winning the Prix Amandine (L.).

Saturday, october 20th, 2007 : KENDOR could not dream of a more glorious epitaph than the superb victory of his masterpiece Literato in the Champion Stakes (Gr.1) at Newmarket, defeating Eagle Mountain, Doctor Dino, Creachadoir, Notnowcato, Maraahel, Speciosa and Mount Nelson. His race record is the one of a great champion : 11 races, 9 wins, twice placed second.

STARBOROUGH
Since 2003, black type performers are known : Whortleberry, Star Valley, Ridaar, Gaglioffo, Kheops Quercus.
Whortleberry has won Prix Minerve (Gr.3) at Deauville, then Premio Lydia Tesio (Gr.2) at Roma, and Star Valley is second of the Prix Quincey (Gr.3).

38 winners in 2004 and particularly two group winners in Deauville, Whortleberry, superb in the Prix Jean Romanet (Gr.2), and Star Valley, remarkable in the Prix de Meautry (Gr.3). Also 6 winners over jumps.
2005 : again many winners on the flat, but also Anglican, a first group I horse on the steeple-chase at Auteuil, second to champion Bonbon Rose in the Prix Ferdinand Dufaure (Gr.1), Grand Steeple-Chase d'Eté des 4 Ans.
At Deauville, Whortleberry is placed third to Pride and Red Bloom in her Prix Jean Romanet (Gr.2).
2006 : not seen during two and an half year, Ridaar really shows off for his come back, winning twice, then being placed second of the Prix de Montretout (L.), and second of the Prix de la Porte Maillot (Gr.3).
2007 : second of the Prix du Palais-Royal (Gr.3) at Longchamp in may, Ridaar would deserve a great victory.

Sire of 43 winners in 2006, Starborough unfortunately left us at the end of of the year.

 

NIKOS retires in 2005!
Master Minded is one of the Top French 4yo steeple-chasers, particularly second of the Prix Ferdinand Dufaure (Gr.1) in 2007. In 2008, Master Minded shines in a group II on the steeple-chase at Newbury, before winning in very brilliant style - and at 5 - the Queen Mother Champion Chase (Gr.1) at Cheltenham.
In 2009, Master Minded repeats in the Queen Mother Champion Chase (Gr.1), now jumping along with Moscow Flyer in the legend of this event.
